APPLICATION GUIDE

Memory Card Sockets for Dashcams, POS & Data Loggers

The card is consumable; the socket is not

Dashcams, POS terminals and data loggers share one trait: the memory card is treated as a consumable and swapped by end users, often ungently. The socket must outlive many cards — which is why durability class, not price, is the first filter.

Specify 10,000 cycles for user-facing slots

KINGCONN microSD sockets are published at 5,000 or 10,000 insertion cycles across 19 models; full-size SD spans 15 models. For any slot the end user touches, specify the 10,000-cycle class.

Push-push plus card detect

Push-push latching needs no ejector clearance and survives glove-handed use. A card-detect switch lets firmware log "card removed" versus "card failed" — in a dashcam that distinction is the warranty conversation.

Profile heights for slim housings

microSD profiles run 1.15mm to 1.68mm; SD Express generations are covered separately in the SD Express socket guide.

Verification and RFQ

Every specification value on a part page cites its source drawing. Browse Micro SD and SD series, or email service@kingconn.com.tw with your cycle class and height limit.
