Micro SD 7.0 & Micro SD 8.0Sockets (microSD Express Sockets) · 3 models

Micro SD 7.0 and Micro SD 8.0 sockets (microSD Express sockets) take microSD Express cards that run over PCIe / NVMe, for handheld devices, cameras and high-speed recorders that need SSD-class speed. The KINGCONN Micro SD 7.0 & Micro SD 8.0 series has 3 models: Micro SD 7.1 push-push (PUSH, PUSH-PUSH) sockets at H:2.525 and H2.25, and a Micro SD 8.0 push-push socket at H:2.27mm — each with a downloadable engineering drawing on its part page.

Selection FAQ

Which part numbers are in the Micro SD 7.0 & Micro SD 8.0 series?
3 part numbers: 7MSD7-F0-0001, 7MSD7-F0-0002, 7MSD8-F0-0001
What is the mated height of Micro SD 7.0 & Micro SD 8.0?
3 of the 3 part numbers in this series state this parameter on the drawing: 2.525 mm (1 part number); 2.25 mm (1 part number); 2.27 mm (1 part number)
How do I request a drawing or samples for Micro SD 7.0 & Micro SD 8.0?
Email service@kingconn.com.tw with the part number. Clicking any part card on a product page also pre-fills the enquiry subject with that part number. Our sales team will reply with the drawing, samples and pricing.
Can Micro SD 7.0 & Micro SD 8.0 be customised?
Yes. The Taoyuan R&D team covers the full path from design and tooling to volume production, including medical-device ODM experience. Send us the application and the requirement, and sales and engineering will assess it together.
Does a microSD Express socket accept a standard microSD card?
Yes. Micro SD 7.0 / 8.0 sockets keep the original UHS-I contacts, so a standard microSD card works at UHS-I speed; a microSD Express card also works in a standard socket but only at UHS-I. PCIe / NVMe speed needs the socket, the card and the host controller to all support it.
What is the difference between Micro SD 7.0 and Micro SD 8.0 sockets?
Both are push-push microSD Express sockets; they differ in the SD specification version they target, with SD 8.0 raising the PCIe lane speed. Choose by the specification the host controller supports. KINGCONN lists both generations at H:2.525, H2.25 and H:2.27mm.
Is there a drawing for each Micro SD 7.0 / 8.0 socket?
Yes. Click any part card on this page to open the part page and download its engineering drawing (PDF); the dimensions, materials and plating in our spec tables are transcribed from those drawings.
