What is the difference between HDMI Type A, Type C and Type D connectors?
All three carry the same 19-pin signal set; they differ in port size. Type A is full size for monitors and hosts; Type C is Mini HDMI and Type D is Micro HDMI, used in cameras, mobile devices and small modules. The ports do not intermate, so the cable must match. The KINGCONN HDMI series has all three, named A TYPE / C / Type D in the part description.
Should an HDMI receptacle be full SMT or have DIP anchoring legs?
For exposed panel ports where the cable gets pulled, choose a shell with DIP anchoring legs that carry the force into the board; for internal or space-limited board-mount use, the full-SMT shell is enough. Both are in this series, stated as full-SMT shell or DIP shell in the part description.
