A USB 3.0 connector (USB 3.0 Type-A receptacle) adds 5 high-speed contacts to the 4 of USB 2.0, 9 pins in total, and is used in industrial PCs, NAS, add-in cards and video capture equipment. The KINGCONN USB 3.0 series has 4 models: a 180° DIP receptacle (L:14.9mm), an SMT receptacle, a solder-wire receptacle and a stacked dual-port (USB 3.0*2) 90° type — each with a downloadable engineering drawing on its part page.

How do I request a drawing or samples for USB 3.0?
Email service@kingconn.com.tw with the part number. Clicking any part card on a product page also pre-fills the enquiry subject with that part number. Our sales team will reply with the drawing, samples and pricing.
Can USB 3.0 be customised?
Yes. The Taoyuan R&D team covers the full path from design and tooling to volume production, including medical-device ODM experience. Send us the application and the requirement, and sales and engineering will assess it together.
Does a USB 3.0 receptacle accept a USB 2.0 plug?
Yes. The USB 3.0 Type-A receptacle keeps the 4 USB 2.0 contacts, so a 2.0 plug works at 2.0 speed; a 3.0 plug in a 2.0 receptacle also mates but only at 2.0 speed. Full USB 3.0 speed needs a 3.0 receptacle and a 3.0 cable.
When is a stacked dual-port USB 3.0 connector the right choice?
When the panel needs two USB 3.0 ports but has room for one cut-out: the stacked type gives an upper and lower port on one set of mounting legs. In this series the stacked model is a 90° rolled-edge type; single-port designs take the 180° or SMT model.
Is there a drawing for each USB 3.0 connector?
Yes. Click any part card on this page to open the part page and download its engineering drawing (PDF); the dimensions, materials and plating in our spec tables are transcribed from those drawings.
