What is the difference between a Mini PCIe connector and an M.2 socket?
They are two generations of module format with different pin counts, key notches and PCB footprints, so modules are not interchangeable. Industrial PCs and gateways still in production keep the Mini PCIe socket; new designs mostly move to M.2. KINGCONN lists both, compared in the M.2 vs Mini PCI socket guide.
How do I choose the mated height of a Mini PCIe connector?
