D-SUBConnectors (D-Sub Receptacles & Plugs, 9–37 pin) · 3 models

A D-SUB connector (D-Sub, DB connector) is the D-shell multi-pin interface used for decades on serial COM ports, VGA, PLCs and industrial control equipment. The KINGCONN D-SUB series has 3 models: DR receptacles, a DP receptacle series (riveted, board-lock, with screw posts) and a DR plug, covering 9, 15, 25 and 37 pins at 2.77mm pitch — each with a downloadable engineering drawing on its part page.

How do I request a drawing or samples for D-SUB?
Email service@kingconn.com.tw with the part number. Clicking any part card on a product page also pre-fills the enquiry subject with that part number. Our sales team will reply with the drawing, samples and pricing.
Can D-SUB be customised?
Yes. The Taoyuan R&D team covers the full path from design and tooling to volume production, including medical-device ODM experience. Send us the application and the requirement, and sales and engineering will assess it together.
How do I choose between 9-pin, 15-pin, 25-pin and 37-pin D-SUB connectors?
By interface: serial COM ports use 9 pins, VGA uses 15 pins (high density), parallel ports and PLC I/O use 25 or 37 pins. The receptacle and plug models of the KINGCONN D-SUB series each cover 9, 15, 25 and 37 pins, coded by pin count within the part number.
Does a D-Sub receptacle need screw posts?
Yes for exposed panel ports whose cable has thumb screws — once locked the cable cannot work loose, which is standard practice in industrial equipment. Internal board-to-cable links or cables without screws can go without. The riveted board-lock type with screw posts in this series is the panel specification.
Is there a drawing for each D-SUB connector?
Yes. Click any part card on this page to open the part page and download its engineering drawing (PDF); the dimensions, materials and plating in our spec tables are transcribed from those drawings.
