Type-CConnectors (USB Type-C Receptacles & Plugs) · 10 models

A USB Type-C connector (Type-C receptacle) is the reversible USB port used for data and power in laptops, handheld devices, industrial and medical equipment. The KINGCONN Type-C series has 10 models: full-function 24-pin receptacles (including models marked 10G and 40G), 16-pin and 6-pin versions carrying USB 2.0 signals only, a 14-pin version, plus plugs and board-mount types, in SMT, DIP, SMT+DIP hybrid, 0.8mm mid-mount and vertical mounting — each with a downloadable engineering drawing on its part page.

How do I request a drawing or samples for Type-C?
Email service@kingconn.com.tw with the part number. Clicking any part card on a product page also pre-fills the enquiry subject with that part number. Our sales team will reply with the drawing, samples and pricing.
Can Type-C be customised?
Yes. The Taoyuan R&D team covers the full path from design and tooling to volume production, including medical-device ODM experience. Send us the application and the requirement, and sales and engineering will assess it together.
Should I use a 24-pin or a 16-pin USB Type-C connector?
It depends on the signals: USB 3.1 high-speed data or applications marked 10G / 40G need the 24-pin full receptacle; charging-only or USB 2.0 devices can use 16-pin or 6-pin versions with a smaller footprint and lower cost. The KINGCONN Type-C series has both; the pin count is in each part description.
Mid-mount or top-mount Type-C receptacle?
Choose mid-mount (this series includes a 0.8mm mid-mount model) when enclosure thickness is tight, so the port sits closer to the board; a normal enclosure takes the top-mount type. For exposed ports with frequent plugging, prefer a model with DIP anchoring legs for pull strength. Mounting is stated in each part description and drawing.
Is there a drawing for each USB Type-C connector?
Yes. Click any part card on this page to open the part page and download its engineering drawing (PDF); the dimensions, materials and plating in our spec tables are transcribed from those drawings.
