SELECTION GUIDE

Full-Size SD Card Connector Selection Guide

Standard SD or SD 4.0 (UHS-II)?

The first fork is the interface generation. The standard SD series covers the single-row interface used in POS terminals, printers, instrumentation and dashcams. The SD 4.0 series adds the second contact row for UHS-II cards at 1.2mm pitch — choose it when your host controller supports UHS-II. For the PCIe-based generation see the SD Express socket guide.

Profile height

Listed standard SD models run 2.85mm and 2.95mm in profile; SD 4.0 models span 2.90mm to 3.20mm. If the socket sits at the enclosure wall, also fix card insertion depth early — it decides your front-panel opening.

Durability class

The catalog lists both 5,000 and 10,000-cycle families. A user-facing slot on a dashcam or field recorder earns the higher class; a configuration card installed once does not.

Materials and compliance

Contact pitch on listed standard SD models is 1.00mm (with 2.50mm on specific rows); contacts are copper alloy, housings rated UL94V-0. RoHS compliant, and every published value carries its source drawing number.

Shortlist and RFQ

Compare models on the SD and SD 4.0 series pages — every card pre-fills an RFQ email — or write to service@kingconn.com.tw with your profile limit and durability class.
